Situated at Holme Farm, this track sits neatly inside a bend in the River Eden, with a banking alons one side creating a natural grandstand for the crowds who flock here for a bank holiday outing in late May & late August. Harness racing is also an integral part of the popular Appleby Horse Fair which takes place in early June, attracting gypsies & horse traders from all over the UK & providing a spectacle which brings tourists from all corners of the globe.
