At our meeting on
Wednesday April 3rd, it was decided to delay the start of the Corbiewood season
till April 28th, with a qualifying day to be held at 11am on Saturday April
13th. Racing at Corbiewood this season will be under the control of the SHRC,
with Mr. Alex Smith as racing manager. We hope that Alex & the club will
receive the fullest support from all concerned, to help us provide a full,
profitable & enjoyable season of harness racing here in
Scotland.
Due to his imminent departure
for pastures new in Yorkshire, chairman Iain McLaren announced at the meeting
that he was reluctantly forced to stand down from the post, and vice-chairman
Jim Kemp was elected to the post of chairman.
