The racing this week, despite the lack of entries, was quite enjoyable. The first race was won by Nuala Goodmans, The Playboy, who won in 2:07.8 with William Drysdale driving, Armageddon, on his first race of the season ran on gamely to finish second. Race two was the second win in a row for DJs Merlin, in a time of 2:06.8 with Hugh Menzies driving. The third race saw Coalford Direct (William Drysdale) just get the better of Touch Of Fame (Alec Turner) in the last few strides before the line, to win in a time of 2:13.2. The fourth race was marred by the unfortunate accident at the first turn when Bigreddogs sulky hit the inside rail, tipping driver William Drysdale off, but after checking for any injuries and a borrowing a sulky, both were fit to come back onto the track, this race was very close at the finish with Bigreddog holding on to win by a short head from Dillys Decision with Shires Hot Shot just a short distance back in third. The last race was a consolation for non winners in races 1 and 2, this saw Red Rover and Richard Thomson battling on to win in 2:12 from Miss America.
